Places
My favorite places in Cape Verde
Pico
Fogo is the name of fire. And this name reveals what the island in the south of the archipelago with its 40,000 inhabitants is: a volcano.
Island
Fogo
What I like more about it
It is one of the best places to do some climbing. It involves a good 1,000 metres of altitude, and the climb takes about 3-4 hours.
Mindelo
For many years, the port of Mindelo was the largest port in the Atlantic and therefore a corresponding economic engine for the entire country.
Island
São Vicente
What I like more about it
People from the literary world, musicians and other artists are at home here. There are museums, live concerts and a lively nightlife.
Tarrafal
A city situated by the Baía de Tarrafal, in the northern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde.
Island
Santiago
What I like more about it
It is possible to spend a few pleasant days in Tarrafal in the north of Santiago. A beautifully situated, small and sheltered bay under palm trees with white sand invites you to swim.
